Peff isn’t my Middle Name…

My friend, John Hinson, has developed a new solid state amplification circuit that he has dubbed the “Shoichi” – my Japanese Middle Name. I haven’t heard it yet, but he says that it sound remarkably like tubes. This is a unique honor, and who knows…someday there will be Shoichi Amps driving world class hardware and a slew of plug-ins modeled after the circuit

Great man! Its hard enough for a norwegian to pronounce your name “Kurasaki”, so that will be a hell to allso pronounce “Shoici”:P

… a deserved honour in my opinion, considering how much work you put into ReBirth and Reason, which are inspired largely by analog equipment. My sincerest congratulations !

I’m not sure if it’s a common tradition for Japanese people to have “middle” names, but it is very common for Americans of Japanese decent to have a western first name and a Japanese middle name. These are basically the same as traditional Japanese first names. You can probably google for a list of common Japanese first names and find what you’re looking for.
